Sasmira’s Institute of Design and Textiles (SIDT) is one of the leading institutes for Fashion, Textiles and Merchandising studies in Mumbai. SASMIRA – the parent institute of SIDT is a pioneering institute for textile studies and research and has strong ties with textile and fashion industry for the last 70 years, since its establishment in 1950 by the initiative of the Textile Ministry of India.

Since SIDT’s courses are widely accepted by the industry, the institution records almost 100% placements every year. SIDT provides training and assistance for internships and placements.

SIDT is the only institute to offer Bachelor of Design (B.Des) & PG Diploma in Merchandising courses in collaboration with the University of Mumbai’s Garware Institute of Career Education & Development (UM-GICED).
