Sasmira’s Institute of Design and Textiles (SIDT) is one of the leading institutes for Fashion, Textiles and Merchandising studies in Mumbai. SASMIRA – the parent organization of SIDT a pioneer in textile studies and research, has strong ties with textile and fashion industry for the last 70 years.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Develop & communicate a clear vision for SIDT, aligning with the institution’s strategic goal.
2. Foster a culture of innovation, creativity and collaboration among faculty and students.
3. Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and integration of Design principles across various fields.
4. Enhance academic programs to meet industry standards and emerging trends in Design.
5. Establish and nurture relationships with the industry partners, fostering opportunities for internships, projects and placements.
Qualification & Skills:
• Essential: Master’s Degree in Fashion Design/Textile Design or Equivalent.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in Design or Equivalent
• Minimum 15 years in Industry and/or Academics at the HOD or Higher level
